Create your Special Ed Blog
There are a few steps to getting your Special Ed Blogs site set up:
-
You need to determine what your blog is going to be about. It should be something your passionate about and have knowledge of. You will need to consistently update your blog (daily updates are ideal, but 3/4 times a week is a good schedule) with new articles and posts about information related to your main topic. Your readers should be interested in your topic and eager to learn about the information that you are sharing.
-
Find a theme and look that really fits with what your blog is about. Images and logos are great for this. A consistent color scheme is good for your site’s flow and user friendliness. Jarring colors or colors that don’t appeal to your readers will cause them to click away.
-
Asking for comments and responding to comments is a great way to encourage relationships with your readers.
-
Place a newsletter signup on you sidebar using a widget. Special Ed Blogs is compatible with the top email list management programs.
-
Share your blog domain with your users via the social networks; Twitter, FaceBook, Google +, etc…
-
Use the Invite tool under the Users tab to let all of your friends, family, connections know about your new blog.
I hope these suggestions get you started on your blogging adventure. there are, of course, many more things you can do but we’ll get into those in later posts.
We love to hear from you, so comment below if you have any other helpful suggestions that have worked for you in setting up your blog.

Blogability? (Yes I made up that word) but it fits.
Are you a beginner? Confused about what is a page and a post. Don’t know what the header image is never mind how to change it.
Are you a novice? You can do most things, but not sure how to change your theme or add a plugin?
Are you an expert? Really, maybe you should offer your services to help the rest of us.
The rest of us… Well, have no fear. We have easy to follow tutorials for you (quick, too for those that don’t like to sit through hour long instruction videos). They are broken down into topics that you need, so you don’t have to sit through things you know how to do to get to the stuff you don’t know how to do.
Sound good? Great! Where are they? Well, when you are logged in, (not a member yet? Register! it’s free) you will see a tab at the top of the screen that says ‘dashboard’ click on that and you will be brought to your dashboard. Look to the list of options on your left, scroll over the dashboard label and look for ‘Video tutorials’ click on that and all of them are on that page.
If you are still stuck on something, just contact me and I will try to help you with it. (Contact form is on the main website. www.napsea.net at the bottom of the right hand widget column) Widget? you ask. You really do need these tutorials! Quick go now, hurry. No, don’t put it off till later. It’s easy and quick.
We will be adding to this post as new information comes available to share. Keep Blogging…
